The application for credit transfer should be done within the next semester after obtaining the credits. For newly admitted students, the application for credit transfer should be done within the first semester. If not, the applications need to be escalated to faculty meetings.
Graduate students need to propose the following:

Credits being used to apply for credit transfer need to be acquired within the past three years; total number of credits are limited to a max number of 9 credits (3 classes). Students who are enrolled in the Continuing Education program can use credits acquired in the past 5 years. Students who are “entrance exam retakers” can apply for credits transfer based on all credits being offered on the campus of NCTU. (Entrance exam retakers: these are the students who have obtained credits on the campus of NCTU in the past and reapplied for readmission.)
For the credit transfer, the final grades must be 70 or over for the corresponding classes. Faculty verification is required for credit transfer.
Credits obtained from schools (foreign or domestic) that have been
recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education can also be used for application for credit transfer based on the discretion of the IEM faculty.
The policy has been approved based on the results of IEM Departmental Conference. Further modifications to the policy also need to be escalated to the IEM Departmental Conference.
The Regulations were drawn up in Chinese and translated into English. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the original Chinese version shall prevail.
